El-Sayed for very fruitful discussions. been applied to our results. It is found that this model in both the shortand long-time domains cannot explain all the observed results. We have tried to show the importance of considering the role of the solvent acceptor molecules. Both mechanisms of the Coulomb cage effect and acceptor properties seem to contribute to the decay of HOPTS in water/alcohol mixtures.
